CAFFÈ NEGRO ROASTING COMPANY “TAKES THE LEAD”

Students majoring in tourism at the Fermi High School in Empoli visited us at the Caffè Negro coffee roasting plant in Limite sull'Arno. They did so as part of the "Itinera" project. This involves students designing and creating tourist itineraries to promote local resources. Their task was to simulate itineraries that touched on the area's key cultural, historical, industrial, and artisanal attractions. Our coffee roasting plant was chosen as a destination of interest for its artisanal production.

THE ROUTE

Proud to be part of this special tour, we accompanied the group of aspiring tour guides on a tour of our laboratory. We demonstrated how coffee beans are roasted: a process we've been doing for 70 years. At Caffè Negro, we roast them individually, applying traditional teachings. We use state-of-the-art machinery, but always respect the teachings of the past. In each of our coffees, you can sense passion, experience, and a deep, deep love for what we do. It's a family business in which we're happy to invest our time and dedication.

We had the pleasure of answering many questions and curiosities. The most popular were: where do the beans come from, and how do they become coffee? What are the main processing steps here at Caffè Negro? How many different blends can we create?

Time flew by, and the journey to discover the best drink there is could only end with a delicious snack: pizzas and pastries were offered to all students, and of course, a good coffee was a must.

Thanks for stopping by, guys. Come back and visit us again!
