Coffee Cake, a recipe to impress your guests

Coffee cake is the perfect substitute for biscuits and snacks. Served with a cup of milk, it's a delicious breakfast or an energizing snack. This soft and simple cake requires just a few ingredients: flour, eggs, sugar, milk, oil, and, of course, coffee, which gives it its unique aroma and flavor.

Ingredients (for a 24cm cake tin):

  • Flour: 300 g
  • 3 eggs
  • Granulated sugar: 220 g
  • Seed oil: 120 ml
  • Milk: 100 ml
  • Coffee: 100 ml (Buy it here)
  • Baking powder: 16 g

Preparation

  1. To make this cake, place the eggs and granulated sugar in a bowl. Mix these two ingredients with an electric mixer, then slowly pour in the seed oil and milk.
  2. Sift and gradually add the flour, mixing well to avoid lumps. Then add a packet of baking powder.
  3. Pour in the bitter coffee to flavor our cake. Mix all the ingredients together and transfer the batter to a 24 cm diameter cake pan, previously buttered and floured.
  4. Bake in a preheated fan oven at 165°C for about 55-60 minutes (in a conventional oven at 170°C for 5-10 minutes more).
  5. Our coffee cake is ready to be enjoyed with a dusting of icing sugar.
